Mambo Entertains Uganda an events company based in Uganda hosted
a fashion show at Mask lounge on Friday last week. The event dubbed Fashion in
Action also had dancers and artistes performances.
Models showcasing the African wear
Mambo models, both male and female took to the run way
showcasing outfits from two designers, Latif Madoi a renowned fashion designer
and Joweria Juuko of Jowiz-D collections.
Among the clothes that Jowiz-D showcased was basically African
wear, the female models showcased African dresses, jumpsuits, wedding gowns and
casual outfits among others. For Latif’s outfits, they hit the run way with
dresses made by Latif in Amsterdam; they were of the same design but different
colours.

The male models first showcased African Jewelry, they were shirtless
with only pants on, the female crowds cheered on as they saw the display of six
packs from the male models, they then came back with different African print
male designs still by Jowiz-D, some of these included the Nigerian Agbada, bitengi shirts and bitengi shorts among others.

The event was also braced by Baraka dancers, a group of
youth dancers who are known for performing at most local gigs as well as in
local music videos.
There were performances from upcoming artistes and the
climax of the show, long lost Diamond Oscar bling bling master was invited on
stage to perform for the crowd.
